"TOCCATA" - to be touched musically

"You certainly will be with this sensational female vocal duo" - (BBC Radio Norfolk)

A professional vocal harmony act of the highest standard- Donna Duval and Shelley Freeman are both well established solo acts with many years of experience each formed Toccata in 2004.

They have both been trained professionally. Whilst Donna is classically trained, Shelley is Musical Theatre trained and together their two voices blend beautifully and stunning harmonies can be heard.

"Toccata" has had much success over the years both locally and internationally singing a mixture of music genres ranging from rock, pop and their particular favourite - songs from the stage and screen. Their repertoire ranges from the 40s to the present day and they are two versatile singers who love what they do. This shows in their professional approach to their work.

Donna (pictured above left) has been singing from an early age. She trained with John Roper and started her career back in 1987.

Since deciding to become a full-time entertainer in 1989, she has appeared in films, shows, cabaret and much more.

Donna has toured all over the UK and abroad, and has performed alongside well known names. Donna also represented the UK in a European pop festival and sang in the country's native Macedonian language.

In 2005 Donna founded St Mary's Singers, initially for a one off Christmas Carol service at St Mary's Church Hemsby.

With the success of this first service, the singers were asked to remain and sing at special church services from then on.  Under the leadership of Donna Duval, the singers were  soon singing anything from choral, to modern popular songs with delightful harmonies.

Over the years, St Mary's Singers have performed songs for many weddings and church services.

Joining Donna in Toccata is Shelley (pictured above right), who also has a long history in the entertainment business. Shelley, learned of her love of performance when she began taking dance lessons at the tender age of 2 and a half.

Shelley left the June Glennie School of Dance at the age of 18 and went on to train in musical theatre at the Laine Theatre Arts school in Epsom, Surrey, working in the holidays as a Bluecoat entertainer at various Pontins resorts.  She has appeared as a singer and dancer in cabaret abroad, on cruise ships and in musicals,  numerous other performing jobs as well as being a qualified dance teacher in ballet, tap and modern dancing.  Shelley also enjoyed two and a half years as Cruise Manager for DFDS Seaways.
